ITHACA, NY – The fourth-seeded Skidmore College men's tennis team took down No. 5 Vassar, 4-0, in round one of the 2025 Liberty League tournament hosted at Reis Tennis Center of Cornell University on Friday afternoon.
DOUBLES MATCHES
- The first doubles duo of sophomore Yuval Goodman and senior Griffin Biernat claimed the 6-1 victory over Vassar's Sondergaard Jensen and Braun.
- Securing the doubles point, the third doubles pairing of sophomore Harrison Gradin and junior Kyle Lundberg edged out the Brewers' Agostinho and Balon by a 6-4 margin.
SINGLES MATCHES
- In second singles, Biernat took down Vassar's Braun with a straight sets 6-4, 6-0 victory.
- In fourth singles, junior Nika Mori cruised past the Brewers' Balon 6-2 in set one, before closing out the win in 6-4 fashion in the second set.
- In sixth singles, sophomore Adel Aissaoui took down Vassar's Gil with a pair of 6-4, 6-0 set wins.
- At the time of the match's completion, Lundberg was winning in fifth singles over Vassar's Sondergaard Jensen, with the junior having won the first set 6-3, and leading 6-5 in set two.

Advancing onto tomorrow's semifinals, the Thoroughbreds will take on top-seeded RPI in a semifinals matchup. The start time is set for 2:15 PM.
