ROCHESTER, NY – The No. 35 Skidmore College women's tennis team secured a fourth-consecutive Liberty League victory after sweeping RIT, 7-0, to wrap up a perfect weekend road trip on Sunday.
DOUBLES MATCHES
- In first doubles, the senior duo of Konika Dhull and Grace Truong defeated RIT's Greb and Sabario by a comfortable 6-1 final score.
- In second doubles, the Skidmore pairing of junior Beilynn Geiss and sophomore Coco Prokop came out on top against the Tigers' McDaniel and Murray after cruising to a 6-2 win.
- In third doubles, the Thoroughbred secured a doubles sweep when the freshman duo of Mia Sarzynska and Juliette Ceas defeated RIT's Finchum/Donahue by a final score of 6-2.
SINGLES MATCHES
- In first doubles, Dhull conceded just two games against RIT's McDaniel, winning the match in straight sets 6-0, 6-2.
- In second doubles, Truong cruised past the Tigers' Greb by winning set one 6-1, and following up with a 6-2 second set victory.
- In third doubles, Geiss defeated RIT's Saborio in comeback fashion. After initially losing the first set 4-6, the junior forced a third set after cruising to a 6-2 set two win, before finally closing out the win by winning the third set tiebreaks 10-8.
- In fourth doubles, Ceas conceded just two games against RIT's Murray after sweeping set one 6-0, before closing things out with a 6-2 second set win.
- In fifth doubles, Prokop defeated RIT's Donahue 6-2 in set one, before sweeping the second set 6-0.
- In sixth doubles, English had a perfect straight set victory over RIT's Galkiewicz after not losing a single game to win 6-0, 6-0.
