SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – The No. 33 Skidmore College women's tennis team secured a clean 7-0 sweep over Bates at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center on Friday.

DOUBLES MATCHES

• In first doubles, the senior duo of Konika Dhull and Grace Truong cruised past the Bobcats' Saul and Westmoreland with a comfortable 6-3 victory.
• In second doubles, the pairing of junior Beilynn Geiss and senior Ella Provost held off Bates' Hepburn and Gidlow, 6-4.
• In third doubles, the freshmen duo of Juliette Ceas and Mia Sarzynska came out on top of a tiebreaker thriller, 7-6, after defeating the Bobcats' Lyon and Frekko 7-5 in the tiebreaker and helping the Thoroughbreds sweep the doubles matches.

SINGLES MATCHES

• In first singles, Dhull came out on top after a pair of 6-2 set victories over Bates' Westmoreland.
• In second singles, Truong held off Bates' Saul with a 7-5 first set victory, before cruising to a 6-2 win in set two for the straight sets sweep.
• In third singles, Provost needed a 7-5 tiebreaker to come out in the first set over the Bobcats' Hepburn, 7-6, before dominating with a 6-2 second set victory.
• In fourth singles, Geiss held Bates' Gidlow to just three games won after winning 6-3 in set one, before securing a 6-0 second set victory.
• In fifth singles, sophomore Coco Prokop edged out Bates' Frekko with a 7-5 first set victory, before winning the second set by a 6-3 score.
• In sixth singles, Sarzynska cruised to a straight-sets win over the Bobcats' Lyon with a 6-1, 6-3 final scoring.
