Thoroughbreds edge No. 40 Colby, 4-3

Box Score MANCHESTER, Conn. - The Skidmore College men's tennis team picked up a ranked win on Sunday with a 4-3 triumph over nationally 40th-ranked Colby College in Connecticut.
  • Sophomore Yuval Goodman beat Jake Cohen in three sets (6-1, 1-6, 6-4) at No. 1 singles to secure the victory for the Thoroughbreds breaking a 3-3 tie.
  • The Thoroughbreds got the doubles point behind tiebreaker wins at both No. 2 and No. 3. Adel Aissaoui and Nika Mori went the distance with an 11-9 decision in the tiebreak, while Harrison Gradin and Kyle Lundberg won their extra session 7-4.
  • Skidmore swept doubles with a Griffin Biernat and Goodman win, 6-4, at No. 1.
  • Mori and Aissaaoui both played to straight-set singles wins to put Skidmore within one of clinching the victory.
  • Colby pulled even with wins at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4.
