Box Score ORLANDO, FL – The No. 39 Skidmore College men's tennis team wrapped up a solid spring break trip with a commanding 6-1 victory over Connecticut College on Friday morning.
The Thoroughbreds finished the week-long stay in Florida with a 2-3 record that saw the team beat the Camels and Rhodes College, and narrowly losing in a pair of competitive 3-4 matches against No. 38 Franklin and Marshall as well as Oglethorpe.
DOUBLES MATCHES
- In first doubles, the Skidmore duo of senior Griffin Biernat and sophomore Yuval Goodman cruised to a 6-2 victory over the Camels' Mulligan and Sohlberg.
- In second doubles, junior Nika Mori and sophomore Adel Aissaoui defeated Connecticut's Agarwal and Taylor-Ker by a final scoring of 6-3.
- In third doubles, the Thoroughbreds pairing of junior Kyle Lundberg and sophomore Harrison Gradin routed the Camels duo of Tipnis and Winiecki, 6-1.
SINGLES MATCHES
- In first singles, Goodman won in straight sets over Connecticut's Taylor-Ker after a pair of 6-4 set victories.
- In second singles, Biernat overcame a 6-1 first set loss to the Camels' Agarwal by winning the latter two sets both by a 6-2 margin.
- In third singles, Mori clutched out a hard-fought match against Connecticut's Sohlberg by winning 6-4 in the first set that was followed by a 7-5 second set victory.
- In fourth singles, Lundberg won in a three-set battle against the Camels' Mulligan by winning the set one 6-4, losing set two 4-6, and winning the third and deciding set 6-2.
- In fifth singles, Gradin won in a similar three-set fashion after defeating Connecticut's Anderson 6-4 in set one, before falling 1-6 in set two and ultimately clutching out a 6-4 victory in the third set.
- In sixth singles, Aissaoui won in straight sets over Connecticut's Winiecki after a 6-0 set one win and clutching out a 7-5 second set victory.

The Thoroughbreds are back at home next Saturday to host Bates College in a 10 AM showdown.
