PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Skidmore College volleyball team completed its regular season with a non-league sweep (25-18, 25-11, 25-19) on the road at Plattsburgh State on Friday.
- Skidmore wraps the regular season at 15-9 and now turns its attention to Tuesday's home playoff match against Vassar.
- Plattsburgh ends its season at 9-16. Skidmore defeated the Cardinals in both matchups this year.
- Skidmore hit .185 for the night with an 11-3 edge in service aces while doubling up the hosts, 4-2, in team blocks.
- Chloe Heitman led the offense with 15 kills and 11 digs for a double-double. She also had three aces and a block.
- Gabriella Imburgia registered nine kills with a pair of solo blocks.
- Catriona Hoelperl tallied 26 assists and 12 digs with a pair of aces.
- Marlowe McIntyre had 17 digs to go with nine assists.
- Skidmore had a small lead in the first set when it rolled off a 10-2 run to take an insurmountable lead.
- The Thoroughbreds then scored 11-of-13 points to close the second set. Skidmore outscored the hosts 20-4 after an early 7-5 Cardinal lead.
- Plattsburgh leveled the third set at 15, but Skidmore completed the sweep by getting to 23 on a pair of 4-0 spurts before a Claire Sabo kill ended it. She had four kills, two aces, and two blocks.
- Skidmore had won 13 in a row against Plattsburgh and is 22-2 since 2002.
