SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Despite a strong fourth-quarter push, the Skidmore College women's basketball team fell to top-ranked and defending national champion NYU, 100-54, on Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Sports Center.
	- The Violets extended their winning streak to 42 games, the longest active streak in college basketball across all divisions.
- Skidmore (4-5) showed flashes of resilience, highlighted by an 8-2 scoring run early in the second quarter that trimmed NYU's lead to 19 points.
- The Thoroughbreds also finished strong, outscoring NYU 24-21 in the fourth quarter before the Violets recorded the final four points of the game to reach triple digits for the fifth time this season Skidmore shot 44.4 percent from the field in the fourth and made 2-of-4 from 3-point range.
- Sophia Martinez had six points and seven assists for Skidmore, while Emmy Plage also provided a spark off the bench with nine points, five rebounds, and a steal.
- Andi Levitz also finished with nine points sharing the team lead with Plage. She made three out of Skidmore's four made 3-pointers.
- Madison Meyer had eight points as the Thoroughbreds scored 42 of their 54 points off the bench.
- NYU (11-0) controlled much of the game, shooting 55.9 percent from the field and knocking down 10-of-23 3-pointers.
- The visitors led by as many as 47 late in the third quarter.
- Belle Pellecchia paced the Violets with 16 points and five rebounds, while Mary Kate Fahey added 14 points, including four three-pointers.
- NYU had four players score in double figures with 15 in total registering at least a point.
