WORCESTER, Mass. - The Skidmore men's and women's rowing teams concluded their season at the National Invitational Collegiate Regatta in Worcester over the weekend. This regatta brings the best teams in from around New York and New England for the day of racing.

The men's 2V started the day with a five-boat heat against Tufts, Hobart, MIT, and Hamilton. Skidmore finished fifth in a time of 7:11, sending them to the third-level final against Connecticut College. In the final, Skidmore was bested by Conn. College, with a time of 7:17 to Conn's 7:12.

In the women's 2V, Skidmore faced off against Trinity, Wesleyan, Coast Guard, Ithaca, and Conn. College. Trinity won the heat in a time of 7:12 while Skidmore finished sixth with a time of 7:49. The sixth-place finish relegated them to the third-level final. In the afternoon final, Skidmore finished third, in a time of 7:58; good enough for 15
th overall. William Smith won the event, followed by University of Rochester, then Skidmore. Conn. College, Mount Holyoke, and St. Lawrence rounded out the field. Â

The women's 4+ was scheduled to be a heats to final race, but with a few last minute scratches, became a final-only race. Skidmore took fourth in the event, falling to University of New Hampshire, Hamilton, and Wesleyan. The thoroughbreds beat UNH's second boat and Mount Holyoke.

In the men's varsity 8+, Skidmore lined up against MIT, Williams, Coast Guard, and Marist. The T'Breds finished sixth in a time of 6:44, sending them to the third-level final. In the third-level final, Skidmore finished third out of four, in a time of 6:41. Hamilton won the final, followed by Vassar, and Conn. College finished fourth. Â

In the women's varsity 8+, Skidmore finished fifth in their morning heat, sending them to the third-level final. Williams won the event in a time 7:08, while the T'Breds came down in a time of 7:34. In the third-level final, and the closest race of the day, Skidmore finished third in a time of 7:23. Conn. College won the event with a 7:19.2, followed by Clark College with a 7:19.8. Behind Skidmore was University of Rochester, Mount Holyoke, St. Lawrence, and Colby College. Â
