DELHI, N.Y. – The Skidmore College softball team outscored host SUNY Delhi 28-3 on Tuesday in a pair of five inning, run rule wins. Skidmore won the opener, 16-3, before shutting out the Broncos 12-0 in game two.
- Grace O'Connell was 6-for-8 on the day with five RBI, four runs, two triples, a double, and a stolen base.
- Jessica Nachamie was 5-for-7 with five runs scored, a triple, double, and two RBI.
- Bernie Berner also had five hits on the day. She was 5-for-8 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs scored.
- Skidmore hit 10 extra-base hits and stole 11 bases.

Skidmore 16, Delhi 3 (5 inn.)
- Skidmore sent 11 batters to the plate in the first inning. Seven of them scored highlighted by a Hailey Clarke two-run single and an O'Connell bases-clearing, three-run triple.
- In the second, Natalie Mayne drove a double to the right-centerfield gap to score all three base runners as Skidmore took an 11-0 lead.
- The Thoroughbreds made it 14-0 in the third on four hits and two errors. Nachamie drove in Skidmore's 13th run and Franchesca Casillas doubled her in one batter later. Casillas finished the game 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs.
- Delhi got on the board with three in the third.
- Skidmore completed the scoring with a pair in the fifth.
- Clarke, while going 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBI, got her first win in the circle. She surrendered just two earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts.

Skidmore 12, Delhi 0 (5 inn.)
- The Thoroughbreds plated runs in four out of their five at bats including a five-spot in the fifth to activate the run rule.
- Mallory Allen, in her first collegiate start, tossed a one-hit shutout. She did not allow a hit until there was one out in the fourth.
- Allen helped herself in the top of the first with a sacrifice fly to score the game's first tun. In the second, Skidmore got three more. O'Connell scored one on a double before Berner smacked a two-run single to make it 4-0.
- Three errors in the third let to three Skidmore unearned runs. Â Â
- The Thoroughbreds put it away with another big inning to close it. Ten batters went to the plate and five got hits including RBI hits from O'Connell, Berner, Claire Stone, and Nachamie. O'Connell's was a triple and Nachamie's a double.
