TROY, N.Y. – Skidmore College baseball senior Ameer Hasan was named the Liberty League Pitcher of the Week and first-year Chase Siegel was selected the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the period ending March 26.
 
Ameer Hasan (#7, Sr., P, Lawrenceville, New Jersey) – Liberty League Pitcher of the Week

• Hasan lowered his season ERA to 1.59 on Friday when he did not allow an earned run over six innings in Skidmore's 16-9 win over Bard.
• The Thoroughbred ace did not allow a hit over the first four innings of his start and surrendered just two singles and an unearned run all afternoon in the snow and cold temperatures.
• He struck out seven Bard hitters and issues just one walk.

 
Chase Siegel (#34, Fr., P, Westport, Connecticut)

• Siegel dazzled in his first conference start against Bard on Saturday.
• In the first game of Skidmore's doubleheader sweep, the first-year fired seven shutout innings against the Raptors, surrendering just three hits all day.
• He struck out nine hitters and did not issue a walk.
