KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Skidmore College softball team completed its stay in Florida with two games on Saturday. The thoroughbreds were defeated by Albertus Magnus 11-2 in five innings and then lost to Loras College 5-1.

Albertus Magnus 11, Skidmore 2 (5 inn.)
- Skidmore scored both of its runs in the bottom of the fourth.
- Elle Harrison reached on a bunt single to lead off the inning and quickly stole second base while the ball was still alive.
- A dropped ball in the infield gave the Thoroughbreds runners on first-and-third for Franchesca Casillas, who drove in Harrison with a sacrifice fly.
- Rachel Monser then doubled over the right fielder's head to bring around another.
- Albertus Magnus scored one in the first, and then neither team scored until Falcons erupted for seven in the third. Three of them were unearned.

Loras 5, Skidmore 1
- Skidmore grabbed the lead in the first. Grace O'Connell hit s two-out single and promptly stole second. Sophia Finch lanced a liner over the shortstop to bring in the game's first run.
- Both starters followed up with three scoreless frames. Loras grabbed the lead in the fourth with three runs highlighted by a Meier two-run double.
- The Duhawks added a pair more (unearned) in the fifth.
- Hailey Clarke struck out six Loras hitters and did not walk anyone.
- Skidmore finished with four hits. Finch had two of them.

NEXT UP: Skidmore will return North and open at home on Wednesday, March 20 in a doubleheader against Westfield State.
