CANTON. N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's basketball team suffered an 83-49 Liberty League road loss to St. Lawrence University Friday night. The Thoroughbreds are 4-19 and 2-15 in league play. The Saints are 16-7 and 12-5.

• Hakeem Daphnis scored a career-high 13 points to pace Skidmore. He also had four steals and three assists. Jake Walsh added 12 points and six rebounds off the bench.
• The Saints placed three players in double figures, led by 16 points from Carter Storey.
• SLU opened the game with a 16-0 run on the way to a 38-19 lead at the half. The Saints continued to pour it on in the second half leading by as many as 45 before the Thoroughbreds whittled it back to 34 at the end.
• The Saints held a 32-18 advantage in bench scoring, while Skidmore had a 15-7 edge in second chance points.
• NEXT UP: Skidmore will close out the season Saturday at 4 p.m. against Clarkson.
