CANTON, New York — The Skidmore College men's basketball team dropped its second consecutive Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon, falling to St. Lawrence University 68-51 at Burkman Gymnasium.
- The Saints (5-2, 1-2 Liberty League) used a strong second half to pull away after leading 30-25 at halftime. St. Lawrence outscored Skidmore 38-26 in the final period to secure the victory.
- Charlie Fantom led the Thoroughbreds (3-4, 0-2 Liberty League) with 17 points, including four 3-pointers, and added four rebounds.
- Aidan Roy contributed six points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Joey Skoric tallied six points and a team-high eight boards.
- Adam Dudzinski paced the Saints with 17 points and two three-pointers.
- Gavin Macaulay chipped in eight points and a game-high eight assists, while Dan Anderson added eight points, including two three-pointers.
- Skidmore struggled offensively, shooting just under 30 percent from the field and 22.9 percent (8-of-35) from beyond the arc.
- St. Lawrence, meanwhile, capitalized on second-chance opportunities, scoring 23 points off offensive rebounds. The Saints shot 35.6 percent (21-of-59) overall, but took advantage of 25 free throws, and made 17 of them (68.0 percent).
- St. Lawrence also finished with a 27-14 edge in bench points.
- The Thoroughbreds stayed competitive early, taking a 25-24 lead late in the first half on a three-pointer by Fantom.
- The hosts responded with a 6-0 run to close the half and never trailed again.

"Disappointed that we didn't get this one. We had chances early to create separation and didn't take advantage of it. That's a veteran team we played and if you don't take advantage of opportunities, they will make you pay and that's what happened.Â
"The fight on the road is a 40 minute one, hopefully our guys learned that this weekend."
