Thoroughbreds edge Williams, 53-49, in overtime

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's basketball team overcame a fourth-quarter comeback by Williams College, which forced overtime, and outscored the visiting Ephs 6-2 in the extra session to secure a 53-49 victory at the Williamson Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
  • Skidmore improves to 2-2 on the season, concluding a stretch of three straight games against NESCAC opponents.
  • Williams suffered its first loss of the season, dropping to 3-1.
  • Sarah Chambers led the Thoroughbreds with 17 points and 11 rebounds, marking her first double-double since January 28, 2023. She hit critical free throws and grabbed key rebounds in overtime.
  • Claudia Schneider contributed 12 points, including a crucial fourth-quarter three-pointer, and added five rebounds.
  • Cassie Davidson tallied eight points, hitting two three-pointers, and added two steals.
