Skidmore earns dominant win over Bard in league opener

Griffin Biernat went 2-0 without dropping a game.
Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team opened its Liberty League slate with a dominant 6-1 victory over visiting Bard College on Saturday morning. The victory was the first for head coach AJ Nelson.
  • Skidmore lost just one game all afternoon. Bard's only point came in first singles due to an injury retirement. Fletcher King was ahead 3-1 in the second set after winning the first 6-0.
  • Griffin Biernat and Nika Mori both had a pair of victories for the Thoroughbreds. Biernat won at first doubles with Yuval Goodman 6-0.
  • Mori joined King for a 6-0 victory of their own at second doubles.
  • Neither Biernat nor Mori dropped a game in their straight-set singles win at first and second singles, respectively.
  • Kyle Lundberg (No. 4) and Adel Aissaoui (No. 5) both also had straight sweeps in singles.
  • Skidmore moves to a perfect 15-0 against Bard since the Raptors joined the Liberty League.
