SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's basketball team outscored visiting Union College 34-15 in the second half, including a 13-2 third quarter, for a 66-40 win over the Garnet Chargers on Saturday afternoon to complete the weekend sweep.

- With the local sweep over RPI and Union over the weekend, Skidmore is 9-3 and 4-1 in the Liberty League. Union is 3-9 and 2-3.
- Union used a 9-2 run in the middle of the second quarter to pull even at 23.
- The Thoroughbreds responded with nine unanswered before a last-minute bucket from the Garnet Chargers ended the half with Skidmore up 32-25.
- Skidmore held the visitors without a field goal in the third quarter (0-for-10), to inch close to a 20-point lead.
- A Maddie Hastings basket 12 seconds into the fourth quarter gave the Thoroughbreds the 20-point cushion, and the defending league champions led by as many as 30 down the stretch.
- Skidmore was led with 10 points each by Julia Blanck and Amelia Medolla. Blanck collected another double-double with 12 rebounds. She also had two blocks and two steals.
- Medolla added three board, one steal, and one assist.
- Hastings finished with eight points to go along with eight rebounds, three assists, and a block.
- Emmy Plage dropped seven points off the bench for the Thoroughbreds with two boards and one assist.
- Â Skidmore shot 38.5 percent from the field on Saturday with a 16-6 edge in second-chance points and a 34-20 margin in the paint.
