Thoroughbreds stumble at Union

SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's basketball team dropped a 93-63 Liberty League contest to Union College Friday night. The Thoroughbreds are 4-13 and 2-9 in league play. The Garnet Chargers improve to 10-7 and 5-6
  • Aiden Roy scored 17 points and Jake Walsh added 13 for Skidmore. Hakeem Daphnis dished out a team-high five assists.
  • Jack Plesser hit for 20 points and Tanner Tedesco dropped in 18 for Union.
  • There were eight lead changes in the first half before Union pulled away for a 49-34 lead at the break.
  • The Garnet Chargers used a opened the second half with a 10-1 run to open a 59-35 advantage.
  • Union's bench outscored Skidmore 49-15.
  • Coach Joe Burke: "Give credit to Union. I thought they played well and they threw the first punch. We just didn't respond like we needed to. You have to defend on the road and we did not do that tonight."
  • NEXT UP: The Thoroughbreds head to Troy on Saturday for a 4 p.m. game against Rensselaer.
