POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's soccer team, down by two goals in the 74
th minute, scored once and later drilled the cross bar in a 3-2 loss on the road at Vassar on Saturday afternoon.

- Hyungbin Kim scored his third goal of the year at the 73:63 mark to cut Skidmore's two-goal deficit in half.
- Skidmore keeper Will Devall made four out of his eight saves over the final 13 minutes of play as the Brewers remained aggressive on offense. Devall had two spots in the final minute, but one of them resulted in a corner kick, which allowed Vassar to run out the rest of the clock.
- In addition to David Garvin's shot in the 87th minute which rang off the crossbar, Colin Goodhines fired a shot on goal with 1:40 left which was saved by Vassar goalie Vasilis Ganasoulis.
- Overall, Skidmore finished with a 16-14 edge in shots but shots on goal were 12-7 for the hosts.
- Vassar had 11 corner kicks against just three for the Thoroughbreds.
- Skidmore struck first on Tobias Catizone's second of the season from Nick Jardim in the 27th minute.
- Vassar scored the next three goals. Eli Torrey tied it at one unassisted in the 41st minute.
- After the break, Duncan Keker scored from Owen Fauth to make it 3-1.
- Fauth scored in the 68th minute to give the hosts a 3-1 lead. Danny Berry assisted.
- The win is Vassar's first over Skidmore since 2018. There was one Skidmore win (2019) and three ties over that span, including the 2022 semifinals – a Skidmore penalty kick victory.
- Each of the last 12 head-to-head meetings have been decided by one goal or less.
NEXT UP: Skidmore will play each of its next four games at home. The Thoroughbreds host Springfield on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
