SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College field hockey team tangled with five-time defending NCAA Division III champion Middlebury College, dropping a 7-1 decision Wednesday afternoon at Wagner Park. The Thoroughbreds are 3-4, while the 8-0 Panthers have won 17 straight and 59 of their last 60 games.

Tobi Dolan tied it with their first goal of the season on a tip in from
Kayla Hassett at 17:08. The play started with a corner.
** The Thoroughbred goal was only the third scored against Middlebury in eight games this season.
** The Panthers responded with three goals in a 7:14 span to take a 4-1 lead into the half.
** Middlebury broke it open with three third quarter goals. Skidmore kept the Panthers off the board in the fourth quarter.

Victoria Bodnar stopped eight shots in 45:00 for the Thoroughbreds.
Juliana Yglesias added two fourth quarter saves.
