MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – First year Fletcher King from the Skidmore College men's tennis team won the D Flight Singles tournament at the Middlebury Invitational to highlight a strong second day of play by the Thoroughbreds.
 

• Fletcher won two more matches, four for the weekend, to win the D Flight. He knocked out Jack Goldstein of Brandeis in the semis 7-6(3), 6-2 before fighting back to defeat RPI's Sid Srinivasan after dropping the first set: 2-6, 7-5, 10-6.
• Louis Bourn took a tight loss in the C Flight Singles semis. The riveting match came down to a third set, where Joe Mairs from Middlebury came out just ahead, 10-8.
• Kyle Lundberg and Adel Aissaoui won both of their doubles matches in the B Flight Backdraw.
• Bourn and Harrison Gradin also grabbed a win in the B Flight Doubles Backdraw.   
• Lundberg and Aissaoui also won their respective singles backdraw matches to finish the day each with three wins.
• Josh Finkle picked up a victory along with Lundberg in the B Flight Singles Backdraw.

NEXT UP: Skidmore will compete next weekend at the MIT Invitational.
