SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Skidmore College volleyball team came back from a first-set loss to defeat Dean 3-1 (24-26, 25-22, 25-20, 25-17) to close the Crosstown Challenge on Saturday.

- Jo Blanco and Carolyn Scott led Skidmore both with hitting percentages north of .300. Blanco had a double-double on a match high 14 kills with 10 digs, two aces, and a block assist. She had a swing percentage of .324.
- Scott finished with a .444 percentage on 10 kills on 18 attempts with two errors.
- Overall, Skidmore hit .215 as a team. Drew finished at .138.
- Angie Mozrall had six kills and Madison Manning posted five. Manning added 13 digs and three aces. Athena Braverman also had three aces.
- Ella Harris finished with two solo blocks and one block assist.
- Noa Berger (19) and Catriona Hoelperl (13) combined for 32 assists.
- After dropping a tight first, Skidmore finished the second set on a 5-0 run to erase a 22-20 deficit and even the match.
- The third game was tied at 18 when Skidmore took command with four straight points. A Berger ace set up match point, and a Drew error two plays later gave Skidmore the lead.
- The Thoroughbreds dominated the fourth set, leading by as many as 13 points, 20-7. Drew closed to within six, but soon after ran out of room. Rudi Reyes dropped a kill to clinch it for the Thoroughbreds.
- Skidmore improves to 6-5 on the year and 2-1 for the weekend.
