MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – First year Louis Bourn advanced to the C Flight Singles semifinals with a pair of wins on Saturday at the Middlebury Men's Tennis Invitational. Additionally, fellow first year Fletcher King was victorious in the D Flight to advance to the semifinals.
 

• Bourn came back from first-set losses in both of his Saturday matches. He battled back to defeat RPI's Tamsay Shah in the first round 2-6, 6-4, 10-3 before returning to the court just a few hours later to knock out Taki Shuda of Tufts 4-6, 6-3, 11-9.
• The C Flight Singles semis are scheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. The winners will match up in the final at approximately 2 p.m.
• King also trailed after one set against Bates' Kosyagin but broke through for a 2-6, 6-4, 10-3 win.
• The D Flight Singles semis will also take place on Sunday at 11 a.. with a 2 p.m. final.
• Skidmore teams suffered three tight losses in doubles, all by 8-6 scores. They will all compete Sunday in the Backdraw.
• Yuval Goodman put up a fight against Hugh Hentschel of Middlebury in the A Flight Singles first round, but ultimately fell 6-4(4), 6-3, 10-7.
• Josh Finkle also went the distance in his singles match in the B Flight. He forced a deciding third-set tiebreaker and lost narrowly 3-6, 6-4, 12-10
