CASTLETON, Vt.—The Skidmore College field hockey team lost 3-0 to VTSU Castleton in a non-league road game Friday night. The Thoroughbreds are 2-2, while the Spartans move to 4-1.

** Skidmore came into the game averaging 4.3 goals per game, but couldn't solve the Castleton defense.
** Emily Harris scored two first quarter goals that held up for the Spartans.
** Castleton had a 12-5 shot and 8-7 corner edge.

Victoria Bodnar stopped six shots for the Thoroughbreds.
