MATCHUP:

• The first-round game is a rematch of Saturday's regular season finale. The Bombers won, 20-6.
• Skidmore finished 4-6 in the Liberty League with wins over Bard, Union, Rochester, and RIT.
• The Thoroughbreds tied with Rochester for seventh and earned the tiebreaker thanks to a head-to-head win over the Yellowjackets.
• Skidmore began strong in 2023 with a 6-1 start to the year and received votes in the IWLCA Poll after a 16-10 win over Dickinson College in mid-March.
• Skidmore took a weekend sweep over Rochester and RIT to help secure a playoff spot for the first time since 2019.
• Gabriella Modesti is sixth in the Liberty League with 3.73 points per game. She leads Skidmore with 38 goals and 18 assists for 56 points. Jillian Lockwood is second on the goal counter with 32.
• Nine other players have scored at least 10 goals this season for the Thoroughbreds, while seven others have won more than 12 draws.
• Phoebe Beshlian and Liv Kazanjian have split time in goal for the thoroughbreds. Combined, they bring a 11.44 goals-against average and a .381 save percentage into the postseason.
• Ithaca is 10-7 on the season and finished the Liberty League with a 7-3 mark. The Bombers are currently ranked No. 25 in the latest IWLCA Top 25 Poll.
• The Bombers are averaging 13.9 goals per game and hold a distinct advantage in the draw circle, winning 271 of 461 draws on the year (58.8%).
• Maizy Veitch leads IC with 45 goals and 60 points this season, while Chloe Nordyke has 41 goals. Caroline Wise has won 173 draws, to go along with 36 goals and 18 assists.
• Lexi Held is 10-7 in cage with a .484 save percentage and 10.76 goals-against average.

 
SERIES/POSTSEASON:

• Ithaca is seeking its first Liberty League title after finishing as the runner up in each of the past four seasons.
• Skidmore last won the conference (UCAA) in 1998. The Thoroughbreds were the league runner up in three straight seasons from 2015-2017.
• William Smith has won the past six league titles.
• Ithaca leads the all-time series 14-1. Skidmore defeated Ithaca in March of 1999.
• This will be the first Liberty League postseason meeting between the Bombers and Thoroughbreds.
