TROY, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's soccer team couldn't solve the RPI defense in a 2-0 Liberty League loss Saturday afternoon. The Thoroughbreds are 5-3-3 overall and 0-3-1 in league action, while the Engineers rise to 7-1-3 and 2-1-1.
 
** RPI took 1-0 advantage in the ninth minute. The picked-up the insurance goal in the 53^rd minute.
** The Thoroughbreds fired eight shots on goal, including seven in the first half. Engineer keeper Megan Wampner turned away all eight.
** Claire Wolgast had nine saves for Skidmore with six coming in the second half.
** The Thoroughbreds had a slight edge in shots (17-16) and corners (9-4).
** UP NEXT: Skidmore heads west for Liberty League games at RIT on Oct. 13 and Ithaca on Oct. 14.
