TROY, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's soccer team couldn't solve the RPI defense in a 2-0 Liberty League loss Saturday afternoon. The Thoroughbreds are 5-3-3 overall and 0-3-1 in league action, while the Engineers rise to 7-1-3 and 2-1-1.

** RPI took 1-0 advantage in the ninth minute. The picked-up the insurance goal in the 53
rd minute.
** The Thoroughbreds fired eight shots on goal, including seven in the first half. Engineer keeper Megan Wampner turned away all eight.

Claire Wolgast had nine saves for Skidmore with six coming in the second half.
** The Thoroughbreds had a slight edge in shots (17-16) and corners (9-4).
** UP NEXT: Skidmore heads west for Liberty League games at RIT on Oct. 13 and Ithaca on Oct. 14.
