SCHENECTADY, N.Y.— Union College prevailed 3-2 in overtime over Skidmore College in a hard-fought Liberty League field hockey contest Saturday afternoon. The loss drops the Thoroughbreds to 4-7 overall and 1-3 in league play. The Garnet Chargers are 7-5 and 3-1.

** Union led 1-0 after the first quarter on Rachel Ostiguy's fifth goal of the season.

CC Wetter tied it at end of the second quarter from
Abby Ezickson. Wetter put the Thoroughbreds up 2-1 in the third quarter from Gilliam Maher. The goals were her fourth and fifth of the campaign.
** Union tied it with six minutes to play then won it in the second overtime off a corner at 71:39.

Victoria Bodnar had eight saves for Skidmore, including three in overtime. The Thoroughbreds outshot Union 16-15 and had a 9-6 corner advantage.
NEXT UP: Skidmore is at Oneonta State on Oct. 11 for a 5 p.m. game.
