SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—
Abby Ezickson scored two goals in the final 1:39 to lead the Skidmore College field hockey team to a 3-2 come-from-behind win over Hartwick College Thursday afternoon at Wagner Park. The win snaps a 7-game win streak for the defending Empire 8 champion Hawks. Skidmore moves to 4-5.

** Skidmore found the cage first when
Beth Yorns scored her third of the season at 19:36 from
CC Wetter. Sami Shortino tied it for Hartwick at 25:42 to leave the score 1-1 at the break.
** After a scoreless third quarter, the Hawks took the lead at 50:42 on a long shot by Julie Ruzzi off a corner insert from Shortino.
** With time running out, the Thoroughbreds pulled goalie
Victoria Bodnar for the extra attacker. The move paid off when Ezickson's shot found the back of the cage through traffic to tie it 2-2 with 1:39 to play.
** Ezickson then deflected a sharp shot by
Kayla Hassett for the game-winner with only seven seconds left in regulation. It was her team-high seventh goal of the season and second game-winner.
** Hartwick had a slight 14-12 edge in shots 8-4 in penalty corners. Five of the corners came in the fourth quarter.
Bodnar had six saves, including three in the final quarter.
** Skidmore is 2-0 against Empire 8 teams, while Hartwick is 2-2 against Liberty League opponents.
** It was the first meeting between the teams since a 9-0 Skidmore win in 2014. The Thoroughbreds lead the all-time series 16-10.
