SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Six different goal scorers helped the Skidmore College field hockey defeat visiting Russell Sage College 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

- Abby Ezickson scored two time for the Thoroughbreds. She is up to nine goals on the season.
- CC Wetter scored her team leading 11th of the season and assisted on the first Skidmore goal to finish the game with three points and extend her point streak to seven.
- Arianna Spiezio also had a goal and an assist on her ledger.
- Beth Yorns, Kayla Hassett, and Hannah Nash accounted for the remaining Thoroughbred tallies. It was Nash's first-career goal.
- Brooke Tunnicliffe had an assist.
- The goalie trio of Victoria Bodnar, Juliana Yglesias, and Nicole Sylvestri teamed up for the shutout. Bodnar, the starter, had two saves in just over 38 minutes of work. Neither of the two relief keepers saw a shot on goal.
- Jaia Caron made nine saves for the visitors.
- Shots overall were 24-8 Skidmore including a 16-2 separation in shots on goal.
- Penalty corners finished 15-5.
- Skidmore converted for its first goal at the 11:43 mark, Yorns from Wetter.
- The floodgates opened when Hassett scored from Spiezio with 3:51 remaining in the half.
- The Thoroughbreds scored again 1:39 later to take a 3-0 lead to the half.
- Skidmore scored twice in each of the final two quarters.
- With the win, Skidmore moves up to 7-7. Sage is 4-8.
NEXT UP: Skidmore closes Liberty League play this weekend by hosting William Smith on Friday before traveling to Rochester on Sunday. The Thoroughbreds are currently sixth in league standings, but just one game behind Rochester, Union, and William Smith. The top-five teams qualify for the postseason.
