SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's soccer team held on to a 1-0 lead to shutdown RIT in Liberty League play Friday evening at Wachenheim Field. The Thoroughbreds remain in the playoff hunt with a 2-3 league and 3-7-2 overall record. The Tigers are 0-4-1 and 3-4-4.

** After a scoreless first half,
Brady Trenchard fired a rebound past RIT goalie Jason Trapp for the game's lone goal at 46:20. It was his second goal of the season.
** The Thoroughbreds controlled the flow of the second half. A Tiger red card in the 80
th minute and solid play by Skidmore keeper
Will Devall secured the team's second straight league win.
** Skidmore outshot RIT 16-6 and had an 8-1 corner advantage.
** Devall had three saves for his first collegiate shutout. Trapp finished with seven saves for the Tigers.
** The Thoroughbreds have a 5-0-1 home record against RIT, dating back to 2012.
** NEXT UP: Skidmore will close out its regular season home schedule on Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. against Ithaca College. It will be Senior Day.
