SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's soccer team lost 4-0 to Ithaca College in a Liberty League match Saturday afternoon at Wachenheim Field. The Thoroughbreds are 3-8-2 overall and 2-4 in league play, while the Bombers improve to 6-4-2 and 4-2.

** Thaib Abidi converted a penalty 6:21 into the game for his first goal of the season and what turned out to be the game-winner for Ithaca.
** Alec Lierena nearly broke the shutout with a quick header that Bomber keeper Johannes Berghahn managed to stop.
** Skidmore had a narrow 12-11 shot and 3-2 corner advantage.
Will Devall had four saves for the Thoroughbreds, while Berghahn also had four, three coming in the second half.
** It was Ithaca's first win in Saratoga since 1995. The game also marked the first non-tie in the last five games of the series between the two teams.
NEXT UP: Skidmore will close out the regular season with three league road games, starting Oct 21 at St. Lawrence.
