CC Wetter's hot offensive play continued for the Skidmore College field hockey team on Friday. The junior scored a hat trick to lead the Thoroughbreds to a 4-1 victory over Rensselaer on the road on Friday.

- Wetter has scored in each of the past three games with six goals and two multi-goal performances over that span. She is up to nine tallies on the year.
- Skidmore improves to 2-2 in the Liberty League and is just one game behind four teams tied atop of the conference. The Thoroughbreds are 6-6 overall. RPI is 3-10 on the year and 0-4 in the Liberty League.
- It was Brooke Tunnicliffe who gave the Thoroughbreds the lead just under a minute into the contest. She later assisted on Skidmore's third goal to finish the day with three points.
- Wetter got her first at the six-minute mark making it 2-0.
- RPI cut the deficit in half with 4:40 remaining in the first quarter. Nina Caprio scored the goal from Lauren McCarthy.
- Wetter completed her first career hat trick with two in the second half. She re-claimed Skidmore's two-goal lead with 1:51 remaining in the third quarter. Then, she found the back of the cage for the third time with 3:44 remaining in the contest to complete the scoring.
- Skidmore finished with a tight 15-14 edge in shots, though shots on goal were 11-6 Skidmore.
- Skidmore's Victoria Bodnar finished with five saves. Tess Garchinsky had seven for the Engineers.
- RPI finished with a 12-6 edge in penalty corners.
NEXT UP: Skidmore will host Vassar, one of the teams at the top of the league, Sunday at 2 p.m.
