Thoroughbreds hit road, hand #19 Clarkson first loss

POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's soccer team defeated nationally 19th-ranked Clarkson 1-0 on the road on Wednesday evening.
 
  • It is the first loss and first goal against by Clarkson (6-1-1, 0-1-1 Liberty League). The Golden Knights began the season 6-0-1.
  • Kamal Ibrahim scored in the 21st minute for the Thoroughbreds. The junior's eighth goal of the season gives him a two-goal lead on the Liberty League leader board.
  • Sophomore Hyungbin Kim assisted on the Skidmore (4-1-3, 1-0-1 Liberty League) goal.
  • Senior goalkeeper Bobby Stratts had four saves to earn his first shutout of the year.
  • Clarkson finished with a 4-2 edge in the shots on goal department.
  • Clarkson netminder Josh Morelli had one save.
  • Overall, Skidmore posted a 7-6 edge in shots. The Thoroughbreds earned three corner kicks while Clarkson had one.
  • Skidmore extends its unbeaten streak to five straight.
