Five score for Thoroughbreds in dominant win over Mount Saint Mary

NEWBURGH, N.Y. -Five different players scored for the Skidmore College women's soccer team in a 5-0 win on the road at Mount Saint Mary College (NY) on Saturday.
 
  • Kat Dunn, Isabella Nevin, Paige Karl, Izzy Sullivan, and Emily Vinick were the goal-scorers for Skidmore (4-1).
  • Sullivan also had an assist to finish the contest with three points. Ella Stone and Madison Bourassa both also had assists.
  • The Thoroughbreds finished with a whopping 23-5 advantage in shots. Skidmore also had 14 shots on goal, while the hosts finished with just two.
  • Lauren Morrissey and Avery Rogers split the game in goal for Skidmore to earn the combined shutout. Rogers made two saves in the second half.
  • Dunn scored her third goal of the year from Stone in the 17th minute to open the scoring.
  • Nevin potted an unassisted goal just under two minutes later to double the lead.
  • Karl from Sullivan made it 3-0 at 57:05.
  • Sullivan scored her second of the season in the 61st minute from Bourassa.
  • Vinick completed the scoring in the 67th minute.
  • Marilena Mangiaracina had six saves for Mount Saint Mary (1-6-1).
  • The Thoroughbreds have won three consecutive games and are outscoring opponents 14-2 on the season.
  • NEXT UP: Skidmore opens Liberty League play on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. at home versus Clarkson.
