AMHERST, Mass. – The Skidmore College women's tennis team advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament with a convincing shutout win over Baruch College at Amherst on Friday.
 

• The 30th-ranked Thoroughbreds will challenge regional host and nationally ninth-ranked Amherst tomorrow – Saturday, May 14 – at 10 a.m.
• Grace Truong and Ella Provost both won twice. Together at second doubles, they swept 8-0.
• Truong retired her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles.
• Provost won 6-1, 6-0 at #5 to clinch the victory.
• Skidmore won all 24 games in doubles play. The teams of Audrey Soohoo and Lily Feldman along with Konika Dhull and Sofia Carlsson were also victorious without dropping a game.
• Katherine Almquist was ahead 6-1, 2-0 at first singles when the match was decided.
• Feldman had just wrapped a first-set win, 6-3.
• Konika Dhull was early in the second set at #3 after a 6-2 win in the first.
• Chanhtel Thongphok was also ahead a set when the match was completed. She won 6-3.
