AMHERST, Mass. – The nationally 30^th-ranked Skidmore College women's tennis team bowed out of the 2022 NCAA Tournament with a 5-0 loss to ninth-ranked Amherst College on Saturday.
 

• The Thoroughbreds wrap the season with a 13-6 overall record and tied nationally for 17^th.
• First year Ella Provost was ahead one set to none when the match was clinched.
• At second singles, senior Lily Feldman was in a 3-3 deadlock in the second seet after dropping the first.
• Katherine Almquist fell to Amy Cui at first singles, 6-2, 6-1.
• Grace Truong dropped a pair of 6-2 sets at #4.
• Konika Dhull was in the early stages of the second set when the match was decided.
• Chanhtel Thongphok was trailing 3-2 in the second set after dropping the first.
• Amherst swept doubles behind 8-2, 8-4, and 8-5 victories.
• This was the 15^th consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament for the Thoroughbreds, who won their 11^th straight Liberty League title last weekend.
• Host Amherst will play Tufts tomorrow for the regional title.
