Thoroughbreds close season against #10 Ithaca

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's lacrosse team fell to 10^th-ranked Ithaca College on Saturday afternoon, 14-7, to close the 2022 season.

Following the contest, Skidmore honored its three seniors: Charlotte Cass, Danielle Kilburn, and Claire Loos.
Seven different players scored for the Thoroughbreds.
Maddy Marr had a goal and two assists.
Maeve McKinley and Lily Schwartzman both had a goal and an assist.
Kilburn, Gabriella Modesti, Camille Pontone, and Amelia Bassett all scored once.
Lara Strunk posted an assist.
Liv Kazanjian tallied 15 saves.
Maizy Veitch led the way for the Bombers with five goals and two assists.
Megan Motkowski had one goal and one helper.
Modesti scored her 32^nd goal of the campaign on Skidmore's first possession to give the Thoroughbreds the early lead.
Kilburn put an end to a 4-0 Ithaca run with 7:29 to play in the first.
Pontone made it a two-goal game with 1:34 remaining in the opening quarter.
After the Bombers netted two and stretched their lead to four in the early stages of the second, Schwartzman scored to pull Skidmore to within three.
McKinley scored 1:15 into the second half to make it 9-5 Ithaca.
Bassett got Skidmore's sixth at 4:43 of the third.
Marr completed Skidmore's scoring with 10:58 remaining in the contest.
Skidmore closes the season 4-11 overall and 4-6 in the Liberty League.
