TROY, N.Y. – Skidmore College baseball's left-handed pitcher Ameer Hasan was named to the Liberty League Honor Roll for the week ending April 24.
 
Hasan improved to 6-0 on Saturday when he delivered the Thoroughbreds a complete game victory in game two of Saturday's doubleheader at Bard. Skidmore's 7-1 victory secured the doubleheader split.
 
Hasan scattered seven hits and one walk for the Thoroughbreds in the seven-inning affair. He did not record a strikeout but managed to get 14 outs by way of the ground ball, with the help of two ground-ball double plays, while requiring just 83 pitches to navigate through the Raptors' offense.
 
In eight starts, Hasan is 6-0 with an earned-run average sitting at 3.11. Opponents have been held to two runs or less in each of Hasan's last six starts.
 
The Thoroughbreds close the regular season this week with non-league games against Middlebury and Sage before hitting the road to close Liberty League play this weekend at St. Lawrence. Skidmore will host a Liberty League Crossover Series May 7 and 8 (if necessary).
