POTSDAM, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's basketball team closed out the regular season and got ready for the playoffs with a commanding 87-45 Liberty League road win over Clarkson University Saturday afternoon.

The Thoroughbreds are 14-9 and 9-9 in Liberty League play. Skidmore is seeded sixth in the Liberty League playoffs and will face third seed St. Lawrence in a quarterfinal game Tuesday in Canton. Game time is TBA. Clarkson ends its season at 5-19 and 4-14.

Clare Driscoll led the Thoroughbreds with 20 points in only 18 minutes. She was 9-13 from the floor.
Andi Levitz scored 16 points off the bench.
Kate McCarney added 12 points.
Amelia Medolla had 12 points and eight assists off the bench and
Amelia Medolla popped in 12 points, hitting 4-of-6 threes.

Skidmore's bench outscored Clarkson's reserves 44-21.

After six lead changes early in the first quarter, Medolla hit a three with 2:15 to play that gave the Thoroughbreds the lead for good, 11-9. The team closed the quarter with a 9-1 run and then outscored Clarkson 27-15 in the second quarter to break the game open.

Skidmore shot 44.4% from beyond the arc, hitting 12 of 27 attempts. The team was 34-71 from the floor (47.9%), its best shooting performance of the season.
