Box Score POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's tennis team opened its spring schedule with a 7-2 Liberty League loss at Vassar College Saturday afternoon.
 
The loss snaps a 10-match winning streak against the Brewers, with the last Vassar win coming in 2013.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 1-1 overall and in Liberty League action, while the Brewers are 2-1 and 1-1 in league play.
 
Zachary Portnoy won 6-4, 6-3 at number one singles and the number three doubles team of Tristan Thiebaut and Connor Biernat won 8-4.
 
Skidmore is off until a March 5 home match against St. Lawrence.
