DAY ONE RESULTS

ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's and women's swimming and diving teams are closing out the fall semester at the two-day RIT Don Richards Invitational. Both teams are second after a strong Day 1. The host team leads both the men's and women's scoring.
  • Caroline Rogers finished third in the 500 free (5:22.70) and Olson was third in the 200 IM (2:13.09).
  • Elissa Miller (7th/2:21.10) and Molly Jordan (8th/2:21.37) were also in the 200 IM top-eight.
  • Day added a sixth in the 50 free (25.15), just in front of Gwitt who was eighth (25.68).
  • Skidmore picked up valuable points in the 1M dive from Sophia May (3rd/340.65), Kailey Murphy (5th/310.70) and Liv Rogers (6th/223.50).
  • The men took second in both the 200 free relay (Brendan Lu, Liam Keating, Nic Sodi, Gavin Schiavi) 1:27.66 and 400 medley relay (Sodi, Keating, Lu, Schiavi) 3:35.36
  • Sodi was third in the 500 free (4:44.48) and Ryan Delfico was 5th in the 200 IM (1:57.99).
  • Thomas Ruiz (5th/245.90) and Noah Fryou (6th/232.50) placed in the 3M dive.
  • Coach Jill Greenleaf: "We had a very strong day in the lanes and on the boards with our athletes recording a significant number of lifetime bests. Nearly every performance were season bests! The energy was high and I'm excited to see how we can perform tomorrow!"
  • Saturday will feature two sessions. The first starts at 9 a.m. with a 4 p.m. start for the final session.
