SPRINGFIELD, Mass.—The Skidmore College men's soccer team closed out its nonleague schedule with a 2-0 road win over Springfield College Tuesday night. The Thoroughbreds jump to 7-3-5 overall, while the Pride is 3-10-2.

• Finn Weber scored his third goal and second game winner of the season at 29:55. Midfielder Ethan Slager scored his first career goal at 74:20 to secure the win.
• Springfield had a slight 17-15 shot edge, while each team had six corners.
• Bobby Stratts stopped all nine shots he faced to post his fourth shutout of the season and second in the last three games. It was the third time this season he has recorded nine or more saves.
• It was the first meeting between the teams.
• The Thoroughbreds compiled a 4-1-2 record against nonconference foes. The program is 23-8-8 (.692) against out of league competition since 2017.
• NEXT UP: Skidmore returns home to close out the regular season on Oct. 29 for a 2 p.m. Liberty League game against Bard College. The Thoroughbreds are in fifth place and need a tie or win to secure a playoff bid without help. Only two points separate second through sixth place. The top six teams make the tournament with seeds 4 and 5 hosting a quarterfinal match on Nov. 1.
