SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's hockey team is riding a five-game winning streak and will put it on the line against nationally ninth-ranked Babson and Southern Maine in NEHC games this weekend at the Saratoga City Rink.

Only Skidmore students, faculty, and staff with valid ID and KN95 masks will be allowed to attend this weekend's games. No outside fans will be permitted. A fan bus for Skidmore students will be available for Friday's game versus Babson. The bus leaves campus from Case Center at 6:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. game. The Thoroughbreds will finish the weekend on Saturday at 4 p.m. versus Southern Maine.

Skidmore comes into the weekend 12-6-1 overall and 7-4-1 (22 points) in the NEHC. The Beavers are 11-4-2 and 6-4-2 (20 points), while the Huskies enter the weekend at 6-7-1 and 4-4-1 (12 points). In an early-season road trip, Skidmore fell to Southern Maine (3-2) and Babson (4-2). Skidmore has gone 10-3 since.

The Thoroughbreds are coming off an emphatic weekend road sweep at New England College (5-2) and 11
th-ranked Norwich (3-0).
Everett Wardle enters the leading scorer for the Thoroughbreds with eight goals and 10 assists.
Kaeden Patrick follows behind with seven goals and eight assists.
Reid Russell (5g, 8a) and
Austin Rook (4g, 9a) each come in with 13 points.
Mike Gelatt (7g, 5a) scored three goals and had an assist last weekend en route to being named the NEHC Player of the Week.
Tate Brandon (2.05 GAA, .925 SV%) was the NEHC Goaltender of the Week after a 26-save shutout, his fourth, against Norwich. He also racked up 26 saves against NEC.

With four games remaining after this weekend, Skidmore travels to #7 Elmira and #6 Hobart Feb. 4-5. The regular season closes at home versus Johnson & Wales and UMass Boston Feb. 11-12. Â
