The first quarter saw both teams firing from deep but struggling inside the arc. Bard made 2-of-3 3-point attempts while Skidmore was 4-of-6. There were only three triples made the rest of the way combined.

The Thoroughbreds never trailed after the 4:53 mark of the first quarter and despite not fully running away with it until the fourth quarter, Bard never managed to get to within less than seven points in the second half. Jakumaite's two made free throws in the closing seconds to stretch Skidmore's advantage to 17 was as high as it got.

Skidmore improves to 8-3 (3-3 Liberty League) and Bard falls to 1-9 (0-5 Liberty League). The Thoroughbreds will travel to Ithaca on Friday, Jan. 21 and RPI on Sunday, Jan. 23.
