OSWEGO, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's soccer team opened its season with a 2-0 win over Utica College Saturday at Oswego State.
 
Finn Weber and Kamal Ibrahim scored for the Thoroughbreds, while Bobby Stratts had two saves for the shutout.
 
After a scoreless first half, Ibrahim scored a header off a Joey Park pass at 46:39.  Weber pushed it to 2-0 from Nick Jardim at 62:03.
 
Skidmore had a 20-6 shot and 6-1 corner advantage.
 
The Thoroughbreds take on Keuka College Sunday at 11 a.m., again at Oswego State.
