SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. –
Alec Llerena scored a hat trick and had an assist to lead the Skidmore College men's soccer team to a 6-0 non-conference win over SUNY Cobleskill in the rain on Wednesday evening.

Llerena netted his first three career goals and had an assist off the bench for the Thoroughbreds, who improve their record to 6-3. Cobleskill falls to 2-7.

Finn Weber extended his team lead in goals with his sixth of the season on a penalty kick in the first half. Skidmore carried a 4-0 lead into the half thanks to two from Llerena and
Isaac Myran's 12
th-minute header off a corner.
Hyungbin Kim also got his first-career goal to make it 5-0 in the 50
th minute. Earlier, he collected his first point on Llerena's first goal. Llerena completed his hat trick with an 81
st-minute penalty kick.
Max Mian and
Joey Park also collected assists for the Thoroughbreds.

Skidmore dominated in the shot total, 38-1, and had a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks. Kim and Llerena finished with six shots each to lead the game. Weber had five in limited duty.

Bobby Stratts and
Ben Gibeau teamed up for the shutout in goal for the Thoroughbreds. Wyatt Reed had 10 saves for Cobleskill. Â

Skidmore ends its regular season with seven consecutive conference matches, beginning Saturday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. at home versus RPI.
