MAHWAH, N.J. – The Skidmore College men's soccer team's comeback bid came up short in its 3-1 loss at Ramapo College of New Jersey on Wednesday afternoon.

Finn Weber opened the scoring in the sixth minute with his team-leading fifth goal of the season on a left boot from 20 yards out.
Back-to-back Ramapo tallies by Brian Kelly and Dorant Bokshi gave the hosts the lead into the break.
Skidmore pushed the pace in the second half but was unable to crack the Roadrunner defense. Brandon Denovaes netted Ramapo's third goal with 5:45 left in regulation to complete the scoring.
Ramapo led in shots, 16-11, and had four corner kicks to Skidmore's three.
Bobby Stratts had five saves in goal for the Thoroughbreds.
Skidmore returns to the pitch Saturday, Sept. 25 to host Hobart College in its Liberty League opener.
