SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's soccer team posted a 2-1 road win over Union College to kick off Liberty League play Friday night.
The Thoroughbreds are 4-1 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Dutchmen are 3-2 and 0-1.
Kamal Ibrehim put Skidmore on top at 35:47 with his third goal of the season. The Dutchmen tied it late in the half to set-up a tight second half.
The teams battle it out over the final 45:00 with
Finn Weber scoring the game-winner on a penalty at 84:5.
Bobby Stratts had four saves in goal for the win.
The Thoroughbreds travel to Worcester Polytechnic on Sunday for a 2 p.m. game.
