SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's soccer team won its third straight game of the young season, 3-0 over Russell Sage College Tuesday afternoon at Wachenheim Field.
The Thoroughbreds are 3-1, while the Gators drop to 2-2-1.
Kyra Russman-Araya opened the scoring with a pin-point shot from 25 yards out that found the top of the net at 38:51.
Vanessa Eljaiek made it 2-0 when
Carly Craft's no-look pass found her wide open in front at 46:55.
Isabella Nevin got pulled down just inside the box, then calmly connected on the penalty at 56:58 for the 3-0 final.
Skidmore had a 15-8 shot and 3-1 corner advantage.
Ava Keller and
Claire Wolgast combined for six saves and the shutout. Mickaela Buzzy stopped eight shots for Russell Sage.
Skidmore returns to action with a home game Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. against Plattsburgh State.
