SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— Plattsburgh State ended Skidmore's three-game win streak 2-1 in women's soccer Saturday at Wachenheim Field.

The Thoroughbreds are 3-2, while the Cardinals improve to 3-1-2.

Skidmore struck first when
Katheryn Dunn one-timed a cross from
Olivia Allen at 28:58.

Plattsburgh came out strong in the second half. Emily Frodyma received a Kirsten Villemaire
corner right on the goal line, then touched it in for the 1-1 tie at 48:45. Frodyma got the eventual game winner at 69:06 when she powered her way into the box and loft a shot past Thoroughbred goalie
Ava Keller.

Skidmore applied all kinds of pressure over the final 20 minutes, but couldn't level the score.

The Thoroughbreds ha a 21-12 shot advantage, with 15 coming in the second half. Plattsburgh had seven corners, while Skidmore had none.

Keller finished with four saves, while Julia Ennis had 10 for the Cardinals.

Skidmore opens Liberty League play next on Sept. 25 at William Smith.
