SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's tennis team opened the 2021-22 campaign with a 9-0 Liberty League win over Bard College Saturday afternoon on Wenger Courts.
 
The Thoroughbreds started the match with a 3-0 doubles sweep. Brendan Jimenez and Zachary Portnoy won 8-3 at number one.
 
Portnoy was a 6-3, 6-0 winner over Noah Gulla at number one singles. Tristan Thiebaut won 6-0, 6-0 at number two over Drew Soleiman.
 
Skidmore plays in the Middlebury Invitational Sept. 18-19.
